A review of GCSEs in vocational subjects

Last updated on: 08/04/2008

QCA undertook an extensive programme of work investigating GCSEs in vocational subjects in order to address concerns about the low raw grades achieved by many GCSEvs candidates. The last phase in this programme of work was a seminar on 19 January 2007 where key findings of two reports were shared with a range of stakeholders, including school organisations, teacher organisations and subject associations. This document presents the outcomes of the seminar.

This document was published by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA). The regulatory function of QCA is now the responsibility of the Office of the Qualifications and Examinations Regulator (Ofqual). Ofqual regulates qualifications and monitors national curriculum assessments in England.
