Evaluation of participation in GCE mathematics: Final report

This report built on the interim report published in autumn 2005, to review reaction to the new AS and A level specifications that were introduced in September 2004.

The interim report established a number of baseline indicators concerning take-up of AS and A level mathematics, and also considered the various impacts the new specifications may have had on students. The final report is an amalgamation of three and a half years of data collection.

These documents were published by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA). The regulatory function of QCA is now the responsibility of the Office of the Qualifications and Examinations Regulator (Ofqual). Ofqual regulates qualifications and monitors national curriculum assessments in England.
